LESSON #1 of 7:
"Which Copy Techniques Are Working Best Today -- The Ultimate Shortcut"

We're going to cover a bunch of the juicy new copy nuggets the 19 copy legends shared with each other at this historic gathering.

First, though, we need to start at the beginning of the story...

A Zoom meeting with my business partner, Damian.

"Effective copy techniques are evolving man. Fast," I said to him. "Lots of the old school methods the direct response world was built on aren't nearly as effective anymore. And almost all the top copywriting players agree."

"And?" he responded.

"Well, we can do one of two things to find out what copy strategies are working best today," I said. "We can continue to invest a ton of money testing out the whazoo... or we can invest some money and time to just hear from the highest-earning copywriters in the world."

"Do you think you could actually get the best copywriters out there to share that with you," Damian asked.

"Not sure," I said. "But I think it's worth us making the investment to find out."

Damian agreed.

And that was the beginning of months of work to put together the Copy Legends Lock-In Experience...
Sidenote: My entire objective in making this investment of time and money was to put the best copywriters in one gorgeous mansion for the day, and have them openly and generously share and swap the most effective copywriting techniques working today. 

I knew it would be wildly valuable for me, my team, and for every copy legend in attendance. 

Now, we had to get to work making it happen...

The first thing I did was take a week or so to put together a hand-selected list of the top, highest-earning copywriters in the game. 32 world-class copywriters made the list.

Then, while me and some team members put together a hefty and impressive invite package over the following several weeks, another team member went off gathering the contact information for everyone on the invite list.

Finally, in early February 2023 we were ready to send off the package via FedEx to each top copywriter. 
Over the following several weeks the RSVP's started flowing in.

"Wow dude, great job man," Damian said to me on one of our follow-up calls. "This list is crazy impressive."
"Yep," I said. "This list is insane. You've got the dude who created the VSL, Mark Ford's protégé, Clayton Makepeace's protégé, the guy who has the highest earning VSL's in the game right now, the top AI copywriting guy, several copywriters who've produced over 100,000 new buyers from their copy, a copywriter who's work got him on Rachel Ray, a copywriter who's had long-term controls in the wildly-competitive health space, and so many more dude! It's crazy."
"Now you just have get them to share their newest and best copywriting insights," Damian said with a chuckle. 

"Yep, that's the aim."
Fast forward to the evening of Monday, October 16th, the night before our official Copy Legends Lock-In Experience...

I not only wanted to wine and dine the copy legends with a little cocktail party, I wanted to give them a chance to get to know each other more so they'd be more willing to openly share and swap their newest and best copywriting techniques with each other the next day.
I felt a little bonding would be a good thing to loosen everyone up a bit. 

And boy was it.

Almost no talk about copy or marketing took place at the party. Instead, the copy legends just hung-out, enjoyed some cocktails from the bartender, picked at the charcuterie boards, and had a grand old time. 

Of course, it also didn't hurt that we had them in a gorgeous mansion as well...
Needless to say...

The next day when it came time for the official Copy Legends Lock-In... every legend was primed and ready to share away with everyone in the room.

First mission accomplished.

Which brings me to the first Lesson I want to share with you -- the rest of the lessons will all be from the Copy Legends Lock-In and the copy legends themselves. Including video clips, audio, and more. 

Here's the lesson...

When you want to promote something big... and you want to ensure your audience views it as something big... you need to show up differently. 

Meaning: If you have something big and your marketing message and format is the same as what your audience sees all the time, they're automatically going to view it as more of the same.

Instead, you want to show up differently. You want your message format and delivery mechanism to be different than what your audience typically sees. 

You want to demonstrate in how you're showing up that you have something different, something special, something big and worthy of paying attention to. 

Hence, why I made the investment to put together and send a full-color complete direct mail package to each copy legend. 

If I would have merely sent an email or just put up a webpage, it would have, again, been viewed merely as more of the same. And, likely, even coming from me, ignored. 

Truth is... prior to the Copy Legends Lock-In, I didn't have a relationship with many of the copy legends on the list. They may have known of me, but many didn't personally know me at all.

But, I showed up with something historic, in a different format than normal, and copy that explained why this gathering was going to be monumental for every copy legend in attendance.

And the rest is history.
